Are trust builders
Have good communication skills
Can connect with today’s youth, and supports the campus community
Conducts investigations and writes reports
Are skilled in de-escalation
Are motivated, flexible and adaptable as situations evolve or escalate

*School-based Peace Officer trainings include: Mental Health, active shooter, school-based law enforcement, suicide awareness, cultural diversity, trauma informed, investigative, Texas school safety center training, OSS Academy training
Eligible candidates: Must hold valid Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification and must pass all phases of the selection process, including a comprehensive background investigation and a physical performance test.
